Want your child* to experience the fun, friendship and adventure of Scouting?
You’re not alone. As well as the chance to take part in a range of exciting activities, Scouts learn other skills as well. A recent study showed that 87% of young people said that Scouting helped them to contribute to their communities as active citizens.
Fill in the joining form to give us some details so we can match your child with their local Group.
Alternatively, if you are interested in joining us as an adult volunteer, then please let us know by using the volunteer form.
*ages 6-17 years old
Due to over-subscription, especially at Beaver and Cub age (6-10 years), all Scout Groups in Bristol Cabot District operate a waiting list in line with District Policy. Even so, in some groups irrespective that a child may have been registered at age 6 or earlier, the pressure on demand may mean that a child is not be offered a place until they reach scout age. The Policy can be found here but the key points are as follows:
- Each group maintains its own waiting list.
- The earliest age to be added to the waiting list is at age four – two years before becoming eligible to join Beavers at age six.
- Children are only included on one group waiting list at a time.
By completing the online Enquiry Form your details will be acknowledged and then forwarded to the group closest to your address. They will then contact you direct usually within 2 weeks. As everyone at Group and District level are volunteers sometimes this may take a little longer.
